differences between “program” and “programme”

今天给曼大的小秘写信，用WORD来写，其中写到programme的时候，提示拼写错误，并且给出了两个可选更改，分别是programmer和programmed…

 

非常困惑，难道这不是“计划”的意思吗？难道它不是名词吗？！

 

如果写成program，就没有问题了…

 

WORD的字典里面可以查到programme这个词，里面给的意思是“计划”，可是查program，却查不到？！疯了，疯狂的WORD，一个WORD字典里有的单词，拼写检查说它错误，一个拼写检查里面认为正确的单词，WORD字典却查不到…

 

到底是我英语差，还是WORD涅呆啊…
