It’s been our first trophy for the last one and half year, though it is not as vital as season title or FA cup, but however, it’s a trophy and we deserved it.

Hope we will earn some more in the coming seasons and regain the season title next year.

At last, I would like to pay my respectation to Wigan Athletic, as they never gave up fighting, and they never stay in their half or put a bus in front of their gate. They offered everyone a tough and excellent game. Thank you Wigan and thank you Jewell.

Well, perfect night! And let this trophy for brave Alan Smith, his injury will always in our thoughts.

ONCE A RED, ALWAYS RED!

WE ARE ALL BEHIND YOU, ALAN

February 19, 2006
It’s really a horrible injury for Alan Smith after he was confirmed to have broken his leg and dislocated his ankle.
After the one goal defeat by our fierce rival Liverpool, I actually didn’t much care about it means that the Carling Cup will be the only trophy we could earn in this season, while this defeat also ends a 85 years unbeaten to Liverpool in FA Cup matches. But it is Smith’s injury that I really concern about which may let him be sidelined for a very long time.

Since his arrival from relegated Leeds United in summer of 2004, he is one of my favourite among the new generation of Red Devils. Frankly speaking, I’m not quite pleased with the way the youths played game, after the retirement or departure of great players such like Bruce, Robson, Ince, Cantona and Keane, as well as Gary Neville has aged up, the young lads of Red Devils no longer play the game like their senior, which I means they lack of their passion, hot blood and some of their fierce disposition.

Football is always not like the way that Arsenal plays so, it’s a physical challenge of men, as well as mind and spirit. You put your pressure on your opponent, not only you keeping attacking, but also you have to shouting and howling at your competitor, you keeping tackling on them, you make them fear of keep the ball around, you force them to kick the ball into sky. Yes, it is. You not only attacking the goal, but also you should attacking the opponent’s body, attacking their mind and spirit, you making them scare, letting them think that they will definitely lose to you. This is the exactly way the football is played like.

Smithy is the exactly this kind of player that really understand how to play football. His goal against Fulham last season can be a trademark of how he plays the ball, his shoot was blocked by Fulham’s defender, but Smith ran to catch up and then made a tackle on him to get the ball back and shoot and scored a goal. You see defender tackles forward frequently, you see midfielders combat with each other in midfield quite often, but you may seldom see a striker tackle a defender in defender’s penalty area and then score a goal! It the way Smithy plays football. Keep tackling, keep fighting and keep forwarding.

Luckily, with Rooney stands next to Smith, we could see the bright future of rebuilding another United that full of hot blood players. They are full of passion, they love United and they want to win as many as trophies with United. When they are strong enough, with both strong body and strong mind, combining the experiences which they used to lack of, we will have a brand new United that as strong as we were in 1990s, and we will again crash everybody.

The injury will make Smith sidelined for months, as he may misses World Cup. But definitely he will bounce back!

As Sir Alex said after the match, "The best we can make of the situation is to try and win the Carling Cup for him next week."

I KNOW YOU ARE ALWAYS OUR ALAN NEVER GIVE UP SMITH!
ALL THE BEST AND WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR YOU TO COME BACK!

God bless Alan Smith, and God bless United!

Let’s Celebrate! Beat Liverpool! ※Refreshed※

January 22, 2006

吼吼!最后时刻发力!酷!

Seems it has been a long time that United can not fight to the last minutes. We used to have one of the greatest injury time goals such as the goal in the final of Champions League in 1999. But during the past one or maybe two seasons, united do lack of some passion to get three points in a dull game which looks like to be ended goalless such as last night.

I have to admit it is not united that played better on the pitch, at least for the first 70 minutes, but also emphasize that although liverpool had more shots, few of them were on target, there was even few shot of liverpool that made in the penalty box, Gerrard, Alonso, Kewell and Crouch worked hard enough, but they could just shot out of the penalty area and their shots were also wide of the target. liverpool boss complained the referee for the back tackle that Rooney made to Sinema on 88th minute, but had he noticed that if Referee should sent Rooney off, Benitez’s men would have only nine or even less on the pitch over the hour time——I don’t think that Gerrard’s tackle over Rooney on the opening 45 is a good behavior.
Just as Sir Fergie said after the vital win, we deserved the win.

So, this time, we finally saw the stoppage time goal and this one is not like other late goals we saw this season which were we conceded such as against Man City from Dunn, against HotSpurs from Jenas, it is our goal from Rio that left the liverpool poor keeper Reina only could put the ball into the top right corner of the net. Brilliant!

Giggs played really well last night, he had a slaloming raid down the right around late time, and I know that united would start fight back. It was not left wing that Giggs played last night, he was in the position of Scholes, and his really didi a excellent job, weavened the whole midfield, made chances for Ruud and Wayen, sent dilicous freekick and corner. What a flying spirit!

Well, that’s all. I feel so satisfied with this result!

Welcome back, the legend No.20

New Deal Possible For Ole, Says Fergie

Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted at a new contract for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following his successful return from a long-term knee injury.

Since his making his first team comeback at Birmingham at the end of December as a late second half substitute, the Norwegian, who turns 33 in February, has not missed one training session and started his first match (as captain) at Old Trafford in the 5-0 thumping of Burton Albion last Wednesday.

Sir Alex is delighted with Solskjaer’s progress and revealed that he has spoken to chief executive David Gill about the possibility of a new deal for the striker whose current contract expires in the summer.

"He’s a fit lad who looks after himself and that will give him a chance," declared the United boss.

"I’ve spoken to David Gill about things and if Ole comes through everything and the injury has gone, then we’ll certainly be talking to him.

"We never expected him to come back as well as he has done. He’s not missed a single training session since he came back which has been great news for us.

"The more games he can get the better because I’m sure that will help him improve," added Fergie. "It doesn’t matter what age you are, a year and a half is a long time to be out.

"Nevertheless, I don’t think you ever lose your class. There were two brief moments against Burton last week when you saw Ole’s class in terms of his fantastic movement, positional play and vision.

"I’ve spoken to David Gill and if Ole comes through everything and the injury has gone, then we’ll certainly be talking to him."
Sir Alex Ferguson

"What we want now is to get to a position where we see the improvement in his game and see that he is getting back to something like he used to be."

Fergie also took time to salute Solskjaer’s mental strength which was one of the major aspects behind his successful return to action.

"He never doubted himself, he always knew he’d come back," explained the manager. "It’s taken a lot of determination from the lad to that but that’s the measure of the man, he’s an outstanding man."

During his last two appearances (both against Burton in the FA Cup), Solskjaer has lined up on the right side of midfield, a position in which he excelled before he picked up his injury.

"When I see his ability to play wide right, I often think why didn’t I try him there when he was younger," muses Fergie. "But of course he’s such a incredible goalscorer so the temptation was never there for us.

"A lot of the time he came off the bench and proved himself to be probably the best sub of all time.

"He has played a lot of football for us and he will go down as one of this club’s great players."

Above quoted from the official website of Manchester United

Ole is one of my favourite players in Manchester United, not only for it is him that scored the winning goal in our Champions League final against Byren Bayern München in the injury time in 1999, but also because he is such a loyal player that no matter how long he should sat on the bench, he always keep preparing to go on the pitch.

I used to dare that he may never play for united any more because of his serious knee injury, and he may left united or even retire after this summer as his contract is going to expire on June. But luckly he’s came back finally, with his forever passion to run foward.

Come on Ole~ the No.20 of Manchester United ——20Legend
